Clara Antionette Keithler
Clara “Clare” Ferrari Keithler was the life of the Southeastern Girl Scouts. Born in West Bridge in 1925, Clara, was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She graduated from Williams High School in Stockbridge in 1943. She was a dedicated volunteer for 30 years at Girl Scouts of Carolina Low Country and was always there to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
Although Clara is no longer with us, her passion for volunteering in the community (especially with Girl Scouts), the way she embraced nature, and her admiration and love for butterflies will always remain a source of endearment and the favorite memories for those who knew her.
Every year, to celebrate her legacy, the “Clara Keithler” pin is awarded by the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina to one individual who exhibits outstanding operational support and dedication to uplifting the community, just like Clara did.
